Six Elements (6E) Orthodontic PhilosophyTM

The 6E Orthodontic Philosophy is a complete set of optimal and universal treatment goals for arches, AP jaw positions, maxilla width, jaw heights, chin prominence, and occlusion. The 6E Orthodontic Philosophy elevates orthodontic treatment goals from being subjective to being scientific.

The 6E Orthodontic Philosophy will provide you with:

  • A positionally correct 3D classification system
  • Efficient and effective "rules" for treating
  • Optimal treatment goals for tooth positions, arch borders, jaws, and occlusion

The 6E Orthodontic Philosophy is the six characteristics found to be consistently present in individuals judged to have optimal orofacial harmony. These characteristics serve as universal treatment goals for the six areas for which orthodontists have diagnostic responsibility.

In these courses, you will learn the Six Elements, as well as how to diagnose, classify, and treatment plan according to the 6E Orthodontic Philosophy. You will also learn how to use the 6E "rules" for treating that have proven to be efficient and effective. The 6E treatment plan includes the use of the new and improved Andrews2TM Straight-Wire Appliance System.
